Arnold, CA...Sequoia Woods Country Club has a complete summer music schedule to keep you entertained all summer long. Sequoia Woods Country Club is located on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains, roughly between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park, at an elevation of 4000 feet. The club house is open to the public, with a bar and lounge, dining room and seasonal deli. The beautiful setting can be enjoyed from indoors or outside on the deck, with a view down the main tree-lined golf fairway.

Calaveras Arts Council's Music in the Park Rolls Into Copperopolis Tonight with the Black Irish Band! |

Copperopolis, CA...When you take Celtic, Spanish, and Italian Music, and mix it up, you get the true nature of the Black Irish Band. They’ll play their upbeat brand of traditional and original folk music on Friday August 16 at Copperopolis (now known as The Square at Copper Valley). This summer the Calaveras County Arts Council will shake, rattle and roll summer nights with four new dates and two new venues for their signature admission-free Music in the Parks concert series. In 2019 the Council is shifting four of their weekly concerts to Friday nights—June 14, 21 and August 16 and 23. Wednesday nights—From June 26 to August 7—will ring with music. The time is still the same—6:30 to 8 p.m.—for all concerts. Also new this year: An art table at each concert, where kids of all ages can enjoy a different art experience each week, free of charge, while they listen to music.

Volunteers Asking for Community's Help in Thefts from White Pines Park |

White Pines, CA...In our small communities many of the community resources visitors and residents use are run by volunteers. So when thieves and vandals take from them it is an offense against all of us. Recently the donation boxes at White Pines Park have been damaged and the contents stolen. The contents of these donation boxes goes to pay for sand for the beach, supplies for the restrooms, maintenance & more. The White Pines Park Committee is asking for the community's help in finding the thieves. If you see anything or anyone suspicious please call the Calaveras Sheriff's Dept at 209.754.6500 or the White Pines Park Committee at 209.795.1226

State of the County Breakfast is September 6th |

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its fourth annual State of the County Breakfast on Friday, September 6, 2019 at The Metropolitan located at 59 Main Street in San Andreas. Doors will open at 7:00am with the program scheduled for 7:30am till 9:00am. This event will serve as a forum to highlight Calaveras County’s accomplishments over the last year and discuss goals for the future.
