Missing Skier Tom Mullarkey Search Update

Bear Valley, CA...As of March 19, 2018, no evidence which would help search and rescue personnel locate Mr. Mullarkey has been found. The Alpine county Sheriff’s Office is continuing to search for Mr. Mullarkey with the assistance of the Bear Valley Resort ski patrol and a military Black Hawk Helicopter. This evening a fixed wing aircraft equipped with a highly advanced surveillance system will continue the search.

Sheriff's Deputies Arrest 27 Year Old Woman for Stolen Vehicle & More

Sonora, CA....From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Office..."27-year-old Hailey Johnson’s luck ran out yesterday afternoon. Deputy Stephens spotted her driving an Acura with license plates registered to a Honda. A check of the Vehicle Identification Number revealed the Acura just so happened to be stolen out of Oakdale.

Modesto Man Arrested in Sonora for Vehicle Theft

Sonora, CA...From the Sonora Police Dept....On 03-18-2018, around 12:30 PM, Sonora Police Officers were called to the area of Highway 49 and Pesce Way for a possible drunk driver. The vehicle was described as a white Dodge pickup truck with paper plates. An Officer responded to the area and observed a vehicle matching the description pass him on S. Washington St. near Church St. The Officer was able to turn around and catch up to the vehicle. The Officer then conducted an enforcement stop and contacted the driver and passenger. The driver was identified as Daniel Lee Chisum, 22 years old of Modesto. The passenger was identified as Maurice Lincoln Matthews, Jr., 37 years old of Tracy.

The Search Continues for Tom Mullarkey, Missing Since March 14th

Bear Valley, CA...The Alpine County Sheriff’s Office has been searching for Mr. Mullarkey since March 14th with no success. Search efforts have been focused within the boundaries of the Bear Valley Resort because of the extreme avalanche danger in the surrounding wilderness and a lack of evidence suggesting Mr. Mullarkey had skied out of bounds.

Search Still on For Missing Skier Thomas Mullarkey in Bear Valley Area

Bear Valley, CA...We just spoke with the Alpine County Sheriff's Office in Bear Valley and search continues for Thomas Mullarkey who was reported missing Wednesday evening. The search efforts centered on possible out of bounds areas yesterday and today they are are refocusing their efforts in the in bounds areas. There are National Guard helicopters at Bear Valley now and they will join the search when visibility improves. They arrived yesterday and the crews and their craft stayed in Bear Valley last night.

Markleeville, CA...From the Alpine County Sheriff's Dept...As many of you know, we have an active search going on in Bear Valley. I will quote the press release below. Our dedicated partners, the California Highway Patrol air Division and the Air National Guard came yesterday to assist. Unfortunately, the storm blew in before they could leave the area, so there was a helicopter slumber party last night!

Local Search & Rescue Teams Looking For Missing Skier in Bear Valley Area

Bear Valley, CA...Local search teams from Alpine County Search & Rescue, Calaveras County Search & Rescue and others are still looking for 65 year old Thomas Mullarkey, who failed to return after his ski trip yesterday. He is described as being 5', 8" tall and 150lbs with Blue Eyes and Gray hair. He is repoted to be an excellent skier and in good health.

Moderate Injuries for Ripon Man in Hwy 108/120 Collision

Jamestown, CA...On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at approximately 3:05 pm, a 2008 Chevrolet Express van, driven by Ignacio Moreno, 58 years old, from Ripon, was traveling westbound on State Route 120 approaching Tulloch Dam Road at approximately 65 mph in the #2 (right) lane. Mr. Moreno encountered a slower vehicle ahead of him and attempted to change lanes into to #1 (left) lane. Due to his unsafe speed for the wet roadway surface, he lost control of his vehicle. The van ran off of the roadway onto the center median, up an embankment. Subsequently, the van overturned completely until coming to rest on its right side.
