Murphys, CA...Christmas Day brings the traditional free community dinner hosted by Murphys Friends. On December 25th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Native Sons Hall on Main Street in Murphys, it will be turkey with all the trimmings, music and Santa and gifts for young people 0 to 14.

Sonora, CA...Today the Sonora Area CHP will take their CHIPS For Kids program to Sonora Ford. They will be collecting toys for children in our area. Stop on by and say hi to Chipper & help out a great cause. We stopped by Sierra Motors yesterday and took the picture below of Chipper & his lovely assistant. They even had a CHP cruiser decked out for the holidays.
