Posted by: Andy_Johnson on 03/31/2014 09:25 AM
Frogtown CA ... Heather Appling has been singing and performing her whole life, her experience is varied from singing at Carnegie Hall, private events, studio recording and now serving as a worship leader in the Bay Area. As the daughter of two music teachers, Heather grew up with a love for music that helped develop her into the woman she is today. Heather's first Calaveras County Fair singing experience began in 6th grade for the annual Talent Show. As a senior in high school, she won the Miss Calaveras Pageant in 2002. Heather truly loves bringing joy to people through song and she is honored to play at the Calaveras County Fair once again. Heather Lynn will be performing on the lawn stage on Sunday May 18. Check the Fair schedule at Frogtown.org for specifics.

Posted by: Andy_Johnson on 03/24/2014 07:15 AM
Arnold, CA ... Not long before this past Christmas, Trey Jarnagin and his family got the news that he is battling a very rare form of lymphoma that affects young children. Many of you may not know Trey personally, but chances are you know someone in his family. The Jarnagin's and some of the their family members have deep roots here (The Klines, the Fassbenders, and the Pyles). Although they have worked hard and will continue to do so, the astronomic costs of getting Trey weekly chemotherapy treatments at U.C. Davis Children's Hospital will be a huge financial burden.
