California Air Resources Board Workshop Coming up on March 1, 2010
The California Air Resources Board is reaching out to individuals with fleets of agricultural vehicles. On December 12, 2008, the California Air Resources Board (ARB) approved the Truck and Bus regulation to significantly reduce emissions from existing on-road diesel vehicles operating in California. This regulation requires affected diesel trucks and buses to meet performance requirements between 2011 and 2023. Agricultural vehicles will also be affected, but can qualify for extensions if they report by March 31, 2010. In order to assist the agriculture industry, the Calaveras County Farm Bureau is sponsoring a workshop with the Air Resource Board to provide information on these new diesel regulations. This training will provide an overview of the Truck and Bus regulation, discuss special provisions for specialty and agriculture vehicles, demonstrate how to use the fleet calculator, and demonstrate how to use the ARB on-line reporting system.....
The workshop will be held on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Calaveras County library located at 1299 Gold Hunter Road in San Andreas. To register for the workshop, please RSVP to the Calaveras County Department of Agriculture by calling 209-754-6504 ext. 3.
