All Day Railtown Grand Opening
April 3 and 4, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Railtown State Historic Park, Fifth Avenue, Jamestown, Grand opening for railtown, open weekends until October, “Early Bird” program at 7 a.m. on Saturday to watch the crew lights and the fire prepare the locomotive for the day, 9:45 a.m. starts off ceremony with marching band and raising the flag followed by a grand entrance whistle-blowing; Calaveras and Tuolumne county residents ride free all weekend, call 984-3953 or visit railtown1897.org.

The Angelus Ranus Poultry Show will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Calaveras County Fair Grounds (Tower Pavilion) from 9am to 3pm.
There will be fancy poultry on exhibit.
Youth showmanship.

April 3, 9 a.m., Frogtown, Gun Club Road, Angels Camp, Calaveras Saddle Club's second annual open horse show, show will start with the English and Western portion of the horse show at 9 a.m., following will be gymkhana, show is open to all ages and are divided by walk-jog, 17 and under and 18 and over, show will also include a 4-h showmanship division; for prices, more information or to sponsor, call Krista Smith at 728-4535 or e-mail at kristasmith91@gmail.com.
