National Night Out
Tuesday, August 3rd .
This is an annual crime and drug prevention nationwide event. Angels Camp will be participating again this year.
Neighborhood Watch Groups have been formed in Greenhorn Creek and in other locations throughout Angels Camp to assist law enforcement in their efforts to stop crime before it starts.
"Block parties" will be held to give the message that those who violate the law are not welcome and will not be tolerated in Angels Camp.
"Block party"celebrations will be held on Alawa Pl at 7:00 pm and at 749 Selkirk Ranch Road at 6:00 pm.
The City of Angels Police Department will also be handing out DNA kits to all children who attend.

Bear Valley Music Festival Welcome Barbecue
TUESDAY, AUGUST 3 – 5 p.m. Bear Valley Music Festival Welcome Barbecue. Everyone is invited to a tasty barbecue at Bear Lake Beach to welcome Maestro Carter Nice and the members of the Bear Valley Symphony Orchestra as they gather for the 42nd season of the Bear Valley Music Festival. Admission is $15 and tickets may be purchased by calling (800) 458-1618 or visiting the festival website, www.bearvalleymusic.org. Bear Valley is located off California State Highway 4 on the Ebbetts Pass Corridor just beyond the Calaveras County border.
