Railtown Grand Opening
April 3 and 4, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Railtown State Historic Park, Fifth Avenue, Jamestown, Grand opening for railtown, open weekends until October, “Early Bird” program at 7 a.m. on Saturday to watch the crew lights and the fire prepare the locomotive for the day, 9:45 a.m. starts off ceremony with marching band and raising the flag followed by a grand entrance whistle-blowing; Calaveras and Tuolumne county residents ride free all weekend, call 984-3953 or visit railtown1897.org.
