10:00 AM Calaveras Humane Soeciey Board of Directors Meeting
The Calaveras Humane Society Board of Directors Meeting will be held Friday, October 7th at 10:00 AM at our new office location in San Andreas: 576 East St. Charles Street, at the intersection of Highway 49 (East St. Charles Street) and Mountain Ranch Road.

Our Board Meetings are open to the public and we invite you to come hear the exciting progress being made by our organization.
11:30 AM Women's Club of Jackson Quarterly Luncheon
The Woman's Club of Jackson cordially invites all Women of Amador County to our Friday, October 7 luncheon meeting. The October 7th Guest Speaker is Kathy Dawson, Owner, Sutter Creek Cheese Shoppe. What a wonderful store for your everyday needs, or for shopping for special occasions. The Cheese Shoppe offers a vast selection of delectable domestic and international cheese. Kathy will have cheese samples for us to enjoy in addition to special Holiday Cheese Recipes for your pleasure. We welcome you to join us in friendship.

Registration is at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is served at 12:00. For only $7.00, a delicious hot luncheon with all the fixings will be served. 04:45 PM High Holy Days
The Mother Lode Jewish Community has set plans for the upcoming High Holy Days. We will be holding a Kol Nidre service on the evening of Friday, Oct. 7 at the Orman home in Murphys. The service will be preceded by a potluck dinner at 4:45PM before we start our fast. The Kol Nidre Service will begin at 6PM.

Yom Kippur services will be held all day at the new home of the Millers in Copperopolis. The first service will begin at 11AM, followed by an afternoon service, memorial service and Neilah Service. A break-the-fast potluck will be held at 6PM. All Mother Lode services will be led by Rabbi Valerie Joseph, Rabbi/Chaplain of the Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto

We have again been invited by Temple Israel in Stockton (PH.(209) 477-9306) and Cong. Beth Shalom in Modesto (PH (209) 571-6060) to participate in their Rosh Hashanah Services on Sept. 27-28. You must call them in advance to be added to their guest lists. There is no charge to attend these services but a donation is certainly welcome.
