The Rail Road Flat Community Club is hosting a monthly pancake breakfast the 2nd Saturday of every month. The cost is only $5 per person. Every Saturday starting at 1:00 during the winter season. The hike will conclude at the warming hut, where volunteers will offer warm beverages. If no snow, there will be a regular hike through the North Grove. Call for more information and update on snow conditions. Park entry is $8 per car.

Copperopolis, CA....The "First Tasting of The Year", held at the Copperopolis Armory every year, is coming up on January 8, 2011. 16 Calaveras County Wineries will participate. 4 to 6:30 p.m in the Historic Copperopolis Armory. $15/ person includes engraved special souvenir wine glass, unlimited wine tasting, Hors d’ oeuvres.
