I am alive; an exploration in sound, song, spirit, and space.
The first half of this performance will be based on the work I did at Naropa University looking at music as a mode of transformation, music and it's affect on the body, mind, and spirit. Through various textures of live instrumental soundscapes with accompaniment by local musicians Ike Bailey and Francine Joy I will offer the audience an experiential journey of sound and song set to the backdrop of natural environments (water, fire, sunlight, ocean, forest) with special guests Oliviah and Ian Shine and Sarah May of Satori dance company.
The second half of the performance will be a compilation of original songs I've written over the years accompanied by local musicians Bill Welles and Brian Jirka.
This event will be a fundraiser in part for the Focus school garden program. There will be art available by featured artists Ellie Frey Guillon(fine handcrafted jewelry) and Staria Stine(Ceramics). Admission will be a suggested donation of $12.00 at the door.
