04:00 PM Snap's Coffee House Spring Wine Experience featuring Hatcher Winery
Snap's Coffee House Spring Wine Experience featuring Hatcher Winery

Friday, March 12th
4pm to 8pm

Snap's European style coffee house and Wine Bar will feature five Hatcher Winery varietals for tasting on the evening of Friday, March 12th. The event will feature savory hors d'oeuvres, desserts, live acoustic guitar music and of course wine tasting!

Winery owner and winemaker Matt Hatcher will be pouring new releases and old favorites as well as answering questions and mingling with the crowd. The wines featured will include;

2009 Sauvignon Blanc Aromas of tropical fruit, mineral, and spice are the nose for this fourth year of using the grapes from the vineyard of Lori Kautz. Lush and ripe with flavors of melon, ginger, and spice leads to a clean finish with enough body to enjoy with spicy dishes or BBQ.

2007 Merlot We would like to start by saying we like Merlot, a lot. The nose has a hint of chocolate with well balanced French Oak. Flavors of mulberry with layers of plum and current. The oak adds depth and complexity.

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon The nose has deep strawberry verging on blackberry. Flavors of French Oak layer the mouthfeel. Black cherry, raspberry, and fennel are prominent. Hints of clove and tobacco linger in the finish.

2007 Barbera Aromas of ripe plum, earth and spice verging on leather. Flavor fun factor high! Candied cherry, rich plum and blackberry. American Oak add smoke and spice. The wine features a unique combination of depth, character, and acidity that is Barbera. Great now, and will be special for years to come.

2007 Quinn the Eskimo Ice Wine...Viognier grapes are frozen post harvest and then pressed. Barrel fermenting in new French Oak to makes this an exotic, rich dessert wine. Aromas of honeysuckle and toasted marshmallow, intense apricot flavors. Serve well chilled as dessert or try it as a first course with Foie Gras

Snap's is well known for delicious light fare, fresh coffee and the elegant outdoor fireplace and veranda. Guests will be welcomed to enjoy a glass of wine, at a discounted price, or a fresh cup of coffee following the tasting. Local guitarist Dan Burton will provide acoustic music throughout the evening to complete the unique Spring evening experience.
