California Democratic Party Representative to Speak on June 14
Angels Camp, CA...Martha Gamez, California Democratic Party Region 4 Director, will be the featured speaker at the regular monthly meeting of the Calaveras County Democratic Central Committee, Tuesday, June 14, 6:30 PM, Round Table Pizza, Angels Camp.
Ms. Gamez participated in Jerry McNerney's successful defeat of Richard Pombo in 2006. After his election, she was hired by the Democratic National Committee as part of the State Partnership Program, Howard Dean's vehicle for implementing his 50-State Strategy, and was assigned to the California Democratic Party. When that program ended, she went to work directly for the California Democratic Party. She has travelled throughout California, working with grassroots activists, Democratic county central committees, and chartered clubs. She worked closely on the 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014 “coordinated campaigns.”
She is deeply committed to growing the Democratic Party throughout rural California, getting Democrats elected up and down the ticket, and to having our voices heard at every level.
The Calaveras County Democratic Central Committee, interested Democrats, and friends meet regularly, the second Tuesday of the month at Round Table Pizza in Angels Camp, corner of Highways 49 and 4. Please join us! Come early and order your dinner!
