13th Annual Hospice of Amador & Calaveras Art Auction
Once again Hospice of Amador & Calaveras will be hosting their fabulous Art Auction on the back lawn of the St. George Hotel in Volcano. This year marks the 13th annual event and will be held on Friday, June 18. Proceeds will help support the work of hospice so no individual will go without the care they need. At 6PM the music of Herb Boxhorn will lead the evening along with the pouring of champagne and appetizers followed by wine and a light buffet dinner. The live auction begins promptly at 7PM with our new auctioneer, Dave Hammond....
This event is one filled with fun, laughter, good food, drink and beautiful art. The local art hails from artists in both Amador & Calaveras Counties and ranges from jewelry and fiber art to paintings and outdoor sculptor. There will also be specialty wines and food available to bid on.
A few of the artists providing their work are: James Aarons, Bob Benker; Brad Devereaux; Margo Carr; Rod Hanchett; Lorra Lee Rose; and Katherine Venturelli. Some of these artists have contributed throughout the history of the event while others are new to join this year. There is something for everyone!
In addition to the live and silent auctions filled with phenomenal art work there will be a special raffle offer for the evening. All raffle items are donated by local merchants and include fantastic prizes.
Tickets are $40 advance / $50 at the door. All proceeds benefit Hospice of Amador & Calaveras. VISA & Master Cards are accepted forms of payment. We urge everyone wanting to attend to purchase their tickets early.
