Murphys Irish Day
Saturday, March 20, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Murphys Irish Day
Daylong family celebration of the historic gold rush town of Murphys CA and its Irish heritage. 8-11 a.m.: Pancake Breakfast, Congregational Church. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Festivities will include live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, pony rides, a wide variety of foods and beverages, a medieval encampment, and a raffle with a trip to Ireland as grand prize. At 11 a.m. a parade featuring bagpipes, bands, marching groups, animals, classic cars, bell ringers and much more will make its way down Main Street. Irish Days is presented each year by the Murphys Business Association. There is no admission charge. Information: 728-8471.

Blood Drive in Groveland
Please help support a healthy blood supply by donating blood this Saturday, March 20 between 11:30am and 2:30pm at the local Groveland Fire Station.
One blood donation can help save 3 lives. People like Sophia Rose a 20 month old that requires a blood transfusion every 3 to 4 weeks, Allean Herring a 14 year old with stage 4 cancer, Gerry Martin of Arnold who received a blood transfusion, and many other people just like them.
