Mr. & Mrs. James Hanely have requested reconsideration on a waiver of the School Tax on their current home. CUSD denied their initial request. Now they are appealing through Supervisor Russ Thomas. We are asking the CUSD Board of Trustees to decide. The home was purchased 25 years ago and they were not made aware of the previous owner’s non-compliance to having a permit issued for a garage conversion. When the previous owner converted the garage, School Tax was not in existence. The request for fees waived would be between $1,728.54 and $2,280.96.
