ROVER ANDERSON & ROCKY HORROR - AUGUST 20th at Newsome Harlow
Murphys' own home grown! That's right, Grover Anderson played guitar in front of thousands of people at Ironstone on the 4th of July and is now living in LA seeking fame and fortune. He has generously agreed to close out our summer Music & Movies series. Right after Grover, the cultiest of all cult classic movies will hit our big screen...Rocky Horror Picture Show. Costumes, props and toast encouraged (maybe not the rice).
This is the last officially scheduled show of the summer. So all of you that have been promising yourselves to make it down...now is the time.

County Slowpitch Softball Championship Game
This Friday night at White Pines Park, an old Calaveras County tradition returns when Fillmore/Finn of Arnold takes on the Ballers of Valley Springs in the County Championship Men's Slowpitch Softball Game. The game will be held at 7:30 p.m. There is no admission fee and a snack bar will be open. Come root on your hometown team. Fillmore/Finn is the four-time defending champions of the Ebbetts Pass Adult Softball League and the Ballers, sponsored by Valley Springs Recycling, have won five of the past seven championships in the Calaveras Adult Slowpitch Softball Association. Play Ball!
