06:00 PM - 08:00 PM Arts Networking Open House - Jackson
Mix it up at Arts Networking Affair in Jackson May 26
The public is invited to come to the Arts Networking Open House sponsored by AmadorArts on Thursday, May 26th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, in Thomi’s Banquet Room just off South Highway 49 in Jackson. Admission to the themed quarterly event that is described as a Mixer for the Arts bringing everyone together is free to AmadorArts members, or just $5 per person, otherwise. Guests mingle while enjoying complimentary sumptuous appetizers and a no-host bar, provided by Thomi’s Restaurant, quickly becoming a lunch spot favorite for Jacksonians.
The theme of this Arts Networking Open House will be Youth in Arts, which is
a major focus of AmadorArts, also known as the Amador County Arts Council, a
non-profit public benefit organization that has been around for 29 years. Among the
featured artists will be the outstanding high school students Kellsey Long and Robert
Falco. Come and discover their unique talents.
Previous quarterly events have featured professional visual artists, and the next one,
also a fourth Thursday, on August 25th, will feature the theatre arts. The location will
be in the Volcano Amphitheatre, with the St. George Hotel catering the event while
actors from the Volcano Theatre Company present entertaining small vignettes.
At any of these arts mixers, expect to see a variety of people. Of course artists
of all types attend, but also business folks, retirees, young residents and more.
There’s always a raffle and other surprises.
