Sip, Nibble & Shop at Gallery Calaveras in San Andreas Relax for the holidays and shop early at the Calaveras Arts Council’s Gallery on Main Street in San Andreas. Over 40 artists have created a variety of items for sale in the 17th annual Affordable Gifts of Art Boutique. The sale starts NOW through January 6, 2010. Gallery Calaveras will have two Holiday Open Houses -- one is Saturday November 21, from noon to 3:00 pm and also on Saturday, December 12, 11:00 am �" 4:00 pm, which coincides with the San Andreas “Victorian Christmas to Remember.” There is no hassle with parking, avoid the stress of shopping at malls. You can actually touch and see the items you’re buying. They’re made right here in Calaveras County by locals artists you may even know, who have painstakingly put their hearts into each creation. What more could you want? Free gift wrapping and free parking? They’ve got that too. Parking is easily accessible behind Gallery Calaveras where there’s a parking lot off of California Street. Arts Council members receive a 10% discount off their purchases. The gallery, at 22 Main Street in San Andreas, is open 9:00 am to 4:00 pm weekdays. On Saturdays the hours are 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Accepted are cash, checks and credit cards.
