SUNDAY JANUARY 31, 2010 - SKILLS PART 1, SOUPS AND STEWS

These very popular classes taught by Ironstone Vineyards' Executive Chef James Lehman, offer a chance to learn hands-on cooking skills and meals on a professional level.

Learn some skills that are sure to please you and your family. Soups and Stews are a great way for busy people to prepare home cooked gourmet meals that are spectacular yet simple enough for even the most novice of cooks.


Cost is $75 per person, which includes your class, your materials, and wine to drink. Buy all 3 classes at once for the price of $195, a $30 discount.

02:00 PM First Concert of the Mother Lode Friends of Music
Dear Friends of Music: The first concert of the Mother Lode Friends of
Music in the new year will take place this Sunday, January 31, at the Church
of the Nazarene, 14050 Ridge Road in Sutter Creek, starting at 2 p.m. There
is no admission charge.

The program will include the delightful trio No. 1 for piano, violin and
cello of Beethoven and three works performed by Gregory Chambers, a young
saxophonist who has already gained a national reputation. He will play the
engaging Tableaux de Provence of Paule Maurice, two movements from
Rachmaninoff's Sonata in G minor, and a jazz-infused work by composer Roger
Bourland with CD-synthesizer accompaniment. There could be no better way tospend a Sunday afternoon! We hope to see you there. Ron Brickman, MLFM
