The Murphys Volunteer Library will hold a “beat-the-winter-blahs” gigantic book sale on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Murphys Volunteer Library in Murphys Park. Ten ($10) bucks buys you a “bag o’ books” of your choice. We have hardbacks, paperbacks, fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, westerns, science fiction, children’s books, audio cassettes, and even videos.....
On that Saturday, we will also give a free book to anyone bringing in Sierra Hills grocery receipts. We also appreciate cash donations.
Come early to get the great choices!!
The County Library sponsored Giving Tree Project was a huge success this
year. The Murphys Library collected $167.00 from patrons and the community, and the Murphys Volunteer Library Board will match the gift amount of $501.00 collected. Funds will be used to purchase new books for
our Children’s, Juvenile, and Young Adult sections. We thank you for your
support and generosity.
Don’t forget the Monday computer classes at the library from 10 a.m. to 12
noon. Call beforehand to make sure the classes are taking place.
Story time will begin on Tuesday, February 15 at 11 a.m., at the Library.
Come hear good stories read by Karla and meet Beckett, the “story dog”.
