DATE: Saturday, June 4, 2011
TIME: 8:30am to 4:30pm
LOCATION: Tuolumne County Fire and Ambulance Administration Center
18450 Striker Court, Sonora (just off Tuolumne Road)
COURSE INFO: Course fee is $35.00. Class will begin at 8:30 am and end at approximately 4:30 pm. Class
will start on time so registration begins at 7:30 am.
This intermediate class is designed for beekeepers who understand the basic process of beekeeping and want to explore the process in more detail. It is recommended that class participants be familiar with the use of follower boards. There will be a “question and answer” period set aside so bring your list of
questions for Serge.
COURSE PREREQUISITE:
Required: Current or past beekeeping experience Recommended: Beginning Beekeeping Class

INSTRUCTOR: Serge Labesque, a long-time beekeeper, has apiaries in the Sonoma Foothills, teaches beekeeping at Santa Rosa Junior College, is a sought after speaker and has authored many published articles. He uses no chemicals to manage his colonies. Serge feels that by understanding bees one can make
their own best management decisions for mindfully maintaining healthy colonies.
