Join us for Reclamation’s interpretive hikes this spring at New Melones Lake. All activities are free of charge, suitable for all ages, and do not require reservations. Please wear sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. A water bottle and sunscreen are also recommended. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Use of Fire in a Healthy Ecosystem

Heron Point, Tuttletown Recreation Area
Hike the Heron Point trail with Guest Speaker Jenny Souza to learn about fire loving plants and how the native peoples of the Mother Lode used fire to generate life. This is an easy 2 mile hike. We will meet at the Tuttletown Entrance Station at 10 am and then caravan down to Heron Point trailhead. Participants will receive a parking pass for the duration of the event. |
