Mother Lode Friends of Music Present Its Annual Symphony Concert This Weekend!
The Mother Lode Friends of Music presents its annual symphony concert on Sunday, March 6, at 3 pm at the Sutter Creek Church of the Nazarene, 14050 Ridge Road. This year's concert features the beautiful concerto for guitar and orchestra by Joaquin Rodrigo, with Jaume Torrent, one of Spain's leading classical guitarist as the soloist. Also on the program is the lovely suite....
Henrik Jul Hansen, conductor
"The Birds" by Ottorino Respighi, during which photographs of birds taken by photographer Rebecca Houseman will be shown. Music by Arriaga, Granados and de Falla complete the program. Henrik Jul Hansen conducts. Admission is $20 for adults. Children through high school will be admitted free. Tickets are for sale at the Calaveras Arts Council in San Andreas, Mother Lode Music in Martell and other locations, and at the door.
