The grapes in the Hovey 2015 Chardonnay come from two of the preeminent Chardonnay vineyards in Calaveras, Shaw Ranch, now farmed by the Rorick Family and Gay Callen’s vineyards on Dog Town Road. Chuck has worked these vineyards for over 25 years and knows the grapes well.

Murphys, CA...A Murphys man was operating his Harley Davidson westbound on Hwy 4 at an unknown speed, approaching Hunter Dam Road. As he was negotiating a curve to his right, he allowed his Harley to drived left across the solid yellow lines, across the eastbound lane and off the south side of Hwy 4 where he collided with a tree. He then tumbled down an embankment and came to rest in a dirt gutter along Hunter Dam Road below Hwy 4.

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/28/2016 12:23 PM
San Andreas, CA...Yesterday about 1pm west of the Hwys 12 & 49 intersection a 25 year old Idaho woman was traveling westbound on State Route 12 west of State Route 49. A 75 year old Valley Springs woman was traveling eastbound on State Route 12. The Idaho woman allowed her Toyota pickup to drift completely into the eastbound traffic lane, directly in the path of the oncoming Mercury driven by the Valley Springs woman.
