Deep reservoirs can be a challenge to fish. Some anglers consider fishing in 20-30' of water as deep water fishing. On a reservoir like New Melones, fish can be caught as deep as 70-90' of water. It is very important when you catch fish from deep water to use a fizzing needle to deflate their air bladder. Calaveras County, CA...On August 29, 2014, the Calaveras County District Attorney's Office files a Criminal Complaint in the Calaveras County Superior Court charging Karl Holder Karlsen with the murder of his wife, Christina A. Karlsen on January 1, 1991. Karlsen is presently incarcerated in the State of New York for the 2008 Murder of his son, Levi Karlsen and must be extradites to California in order to face the 1991 murder charge. Calaveras County, CA....Grant Barrett has served the legal needs of the Calaveras community for the past 18 years. He has over 12 years of experience on the bench in Calaveras County. Since 2006, Grant has served our community as the Calaveras Superior Court Commissioner where he regularly presides over family law and civil disputes. From 2011 through 2013, he also served as Court Commissioner for Amador County Superior Court, at their judges’ request, until a suitable replacement could be recruited and trained. In 2013, Grant was named Judicial Officer of the Year by the Child Support Directors Association of California.

As the first of the series was an overwhelming success in July, and featured local bands – The Experimentalist, Jill Warren and The Hot Dark. The next Bands Barrels and Barbeque is slated for Friday, August 29th and will showcase Cabby featuring Brian Jirka, Lightning Boy and his Thundering Blues Band and The Little Fuller Band....
