Washington, DC...Today's unanimous Supreme Court decision is a clear victory for our national security. It allows the travel suspension for the six terror-prone countries and the refugee suspension to become largely effective. As President, I cannot allow people into our country who want to do us harm. I want people who can love the United States and all of its citizens, and who will be hardworking and productive.

State Department To Start Implementing Reinstated Portions of Travel Ban

Washington, DC...With the objective of maximizing national security, the Department of State will implement Executive Order 13780, “Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States” in an orderly fashion, consistent with the Supreme Court’s unanimous order, and in accordance with the Presidential Memorandum issued on June 14, 2017, which directs us to begin implementation 72 hours after the stay. The Department of State will provide additional details on implementation after consultation with the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security.

The victim advised that the vehicle was last parked in the driveway of her residence, in the 300 block of S. Main Street, and that the keys were left in the unlocked vehicle.

Assault in Angels Camp Leads to Assault with a Firearm, Child Endangerment & Drug Charges

Angels Camp, CA...On 06/19/17, at approximately 6:15 AM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department was dispatched to a report of suspicious people in the roadway, near the intersection of Gold Cliff Road and Pacific Avenue. Upon arrival the officer spoke with two subjects that related they were the victims of an assault involving a firearm. Further investigation led to an address in the 900 block of Crystal Street, where the suspect resides. A probation search was conducted and the handgun suspected to have been used in the assault, ammunition, and fifty-seven (57) seedling marijuana plants were located in the residence. Additionally, remnants and items used in the manufacturing of Butane Honey Oil were also located.

Pickup Fire Extinguished Before It Engulfed Fifth Wheel Trailer

Mi Wuk Village, CA...A three-quarter ton Chevrolet pickup pulling a thirty-nine foot fifth wheel trailer caught fire this morning after pulling the Twain Harte grade on State Highway 108. The fire occurred in front of Alicia’s Sugar Shack in Mi Wuk Village. It was noticed by Chief Larry Crabtree who was driving by and was the first to report the fire to the Mi-Wuk Sugar Pine Fire station just a few hundred yards up the Highway.

Moeller is renowned for founding the Calaveras Community Television Public Access Group. Under his guidance, The volunteers built a studio considered the “jewel of the Mother Lode”. The Studio, which bears his name, is a major source of community pride. In Wisconsin, I recently met a proud Veteran and his wife – Michael and Tammy Kushman. When they were forced onto Obamacare and the exchange in 2015, they thought they would be able to keep their doctor-but they couldn't. They thought they would be able to keep their plan – but they weren't allowed. They were told their premiums would go down – but instead, they soared by 120 percent upward. July 1st, 2017 9:30 a.m. at the bottom of the Arnold Byway No parking at the race start. Catch the shuttle at Cedar Center at 8:00 and 8:30. Pinecrest, CA...Just after 1 PM yesterday afternoon, the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office received a call from a Pinecrest area campground. The caller reported seeing a suspicious man walking through the campground wearing gloves on his feet.

Arnold, CA...We are excited to announce "Mornings With The One Percent™" a new, live, three hour, news & entertainment program will premier on July 3rd. It will run for three hours weekday mornings. The premise for the name is this: As many of you may know the USDA rated all the counties in the US on a livability scale on climate, natural amenities, etc. Calaveras came in as the 14th best county in the whole nation to live and all of our local counties Tuolumne, Amador & Alpine all rank high enough to easily fall into the top one percent of the over 3,000 counties in the US. So even when bad things happen here (which they do) at the end of the day we have a lot to be thankful for as we live in some of the greatest areas literally on the planet. We may not all be a Buffett, Gates or a Bezos but we are part of the one percent because we call this area home.
