Below is a statement from California Forestry Association President David Bischel on the proposed EIS and ROD and a couple of points for the ROD. Statement from Calforests’ President David Bischel: "We commend the US Forest Service for putting together an EIS and ROD for the Rim Fire Recovery on the Stanislaus National Forest within the targeted timeframe while keeping a transparent and open process. San Andreas, CA....The leading cause of death for Americans 15-20 years old is motor vehicle collisions, (According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and the CHP’s goal is to reduce the death rate among teenagers as the result of these collisions. Fiore is a 63 (sixty three) year old, female, who left a residence in the 22000 block of Saw Mill Flat Road on Monday, 8/25/14 around 1115 A.M. Fiore is 5’3” tall and weighs approx.. 158 pounds. She has short to collar length blondish gray hair, and was last seen wearing a light blue sun dress, dark sweatshirt tied around her waist, and carrying a walking cane. Fiore left on foot and walks with the help of a cane. ( No Picture is available at this time) ...

Calaveras County Sheriff's Department Tests New Program To Reduce Non-Emergency 9-1-1 Calls

San Andreas, Calif. – The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department is teaming up with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) to begin a pilot public education campaign aimed at reducing the number of non-emergency 9-1-1 calls placed to the 9-1-1 system. “We want callers to know that 9-1-1 is about saving lives,” said Public Safety Communications Assistant Director Karen Wong. “Excessive calls to 9-1-1 for non-emergencies can tie up the phone lines, slow response times, and can make the difference between life and death. The purpose of the California 9-1-1 Branch Education and Awareness Pilot Program is to educate the public on the use of 9-1-1 and about what constitutes a real emergency. This could help to reduce the number of non-emergency calls.”
