Posted by: thepinetree on 01/22/2017 09:45 AM
Angels Camp, CA...Dylan Ray Mills, a 22 year old white male, is wanted for charges related to an assault and pursuit that occurred earlier today in Amador County. Details are still unclear, but apparently Mills was present during an assault involving a knife and fled when Amador County law enforcement officers arrived. A pursuit was initiated in Amador County and was terminated for unknown reasons as it approached Calaveras County. Calaveras County deputies spotted the vehicle associated with Mills and continued the pursuit. The vehicle was pursued into Angels Camp, and at approximately 2 AM on today's date an Angels Camp officer utilized spike strips to disable the vehicle Mills was in as it traveled through Angels Camp. The vehicle came to a stop near the intersection of S. Main Street and Stanislaus Avenue, and Mills fled on foot. Another subject in the vehicle was taken into custody by Calaveras County deputies.

Sunday Morning Power Outage Update....Much Progress Made But Many Still Or Newly In Dark

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/22/2017 09:36 AM
Arnold, CA...The numbers are falling but it was another cold and dark night for many in our area. Many of these outages are new or variations from yesterday. Winds overnight brought down more trees and limbs into power lines and service drops to houses. Interestingly the total number of repair instances seems about the same or higher but the total number in the dark is dropping so they are making good progress. Another observation yesterday when we were out and about is that it didn't seem to be beetle kill trees but green living trees that were carrying a full foliage load to carry snow and hence weight. Our hats off the the crews that are working in abysmal and dangerous conditions. To make it a bit easier to read the list is below the graphic.

Hey Good People!!! It's Is Dumping "Pure Mountain Fun" In Bear Valley!!! ~ Mattly Trent

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/21/2017 07:03 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! We picked up another 12" of new snow overnight for a whopping storm total so far of 58"!!!!!! The high today should come in around the mid to upper 20's with winds out of the SSW from 11-26 with possible gust up to 40mph. The riding is off the hook right now and the upper mtn is in awesome shape as most everything is filled in. We're still assessing the Lwr mtn for Avalanche hazards which remain at a 4 High currently but patience is the key here. With the storm intensifying over the next 2 days it will remain closed. Until then copious amounts of quality riding is to be had on the frontside/backside and village sides of our Mtn. Stay safe, ride with a buddy and be aware of deep tree wells as they are abundant inbounds and in the soft boundaries. Come on up and check out our local "Pure Mtn Fun" ethos and stay tuned..........
