Copper Chili Cookoff Team Presents Check for $2,000 to Copperopolis Volunteer Fire Fighters Association
Copperopolis, CA.....The Copper Chili Cookoff team were pleased to present a check for $2,000 to the Copperopolis Volunteer Fire Fighters Association this week. The proceeds were a result of the ticket sales for the well attended event. Fire Chief Keith Cantrell of Copperopolis Fire Protection District, President Mike Shevlin of the Volunteer Fire Fighters Association, and several fire fighters attended to accept the donation. V.P. Paul Stein, Les Stanton, Kelly Luque, and Carol Benevento were
joined by Copperopolis Town Square Merchant Donna Evans of Fancy Pans,
and Executive Chef Mike Baisch of the newly opened Panini's Italian Grille. The first Chili Cookoff held at Copperopolis Town Square was a huge success due to nearly 20 chili cooks who prepared a variety of recipes and over 500 guests and tasters.
