Rattlesnake Vaccine Clinic for Dogs ~By Mike Shevlin
Copperopolis, CA...On Sunday, April 19, 2009 The Copper Firefighters Association has invited Dr. Robert G. Pollard DVM from Sonora to hold a clinic to vaccinate our pet dogs against rattlesnake venom. Dr. Pollard will be available with his assistants at Copper Fire Station 1 on Main Street April 19th at 2pm...
The Copperopolis area is well known to Veterinarians for the number of dogs that are bitten by rattlesnakes every year. People with dogs that are in areas that are rattlesnake habitats should vaccinate their pets. Especially anyone with ranch dogs, hunting dogs or pets used for protection and are outside animals.
We have included a website from Red Rock Biologics to answer your questions. The vaccine is extremely safe for your pet and well tested. The cost per vaccine is $20.00 and a booster is required about a month after the first initial vaccine.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Mike Shevlin at 209-785-1157 or mike@copperfiredist.com.
