Getting the Most Out of Your MAC to Be SMUG Focus
Getting the most out of your Apple computer will be the focus when the Sierra Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) holds its monthly meeting Tuesday, August 11, 7 p.m. in the assembly room of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District, 1037 Blagen Rd. in Arnold. The building is between the post office and the library just off Highway 4. Norm Milsner, the Mac guru of the mountains, will take the group through such subjects as customizing Safari, working with e-mail, improving the address book, and running system updates. The meeting is open to everyone without charge. ...
SMUG exists to keep Mac users abreast of the latest developments and to address the nagging questions that arise from time to time. Its goal is to take the mystery out of computers and to enable members to take advantage of all the features their Mac possesses.
“At our meetings there is no such thing as a dumb question,” states group vice-president Dick Cross. “All of us started out as novices and we want to help others to feel comfortable while sitting at their keyboards.”
SMUG was founded in 1995 and is a non-profit organizations run completely by volunteers. Annual dues are $15. For more information visit the SMUG website at www.goldrush.com/~smug.
