The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce announces two big events for August

The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce announces 2 big events for August. The First is The Chamber of Commerce will present "Where's the Money? An Explanation of ARRA benefits available to small businesses. The Chamber has invited Jim O'Neal, District Director of the Small Business Administration (SBA) to present information on Economic Stimulus programs that have made loans and funding easier than ever to obtain through SBA programs....


Any and all small business owner/operators should attend this session to learn more about loan packages of all types for any business, existing or start-up. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, August 18th at 9:00 am at the Cheseborough Room at the San Andreas Library. The workshop is free to attend and the Chamber has invited bankers to attend and they may be available to meet with business owners following the presentation.

2) The Chamber of Commerce will hold its Quarterly Business Luncheon on Thursday, August 20th. State Senator Dave Cox will be the Speaker and will give insight into the State's budget fiasco and some key vision into the state's fiscal future and the political horizon for the Governor's race. The luncheon will be held at Camps Restaurant at Greenhorn Creek starting at 11:45. The cost to attend the luncheon is $20 for Chamber Members and $25 for non- members. Reservations are required.
