CAL Fire States Structure Fire in Columbia Cause Electrical Power

Columbia, CA....The structure fire that occurred yesterday at 10785 Valparaiso Street in Columbia was caused by electrical power according to CAL Fire. A structure was fully engulfed along with a vehicle and 1/2 acre of grass vegetation. Luckily there were no injuries. There is a total of $350,000 in damages for the home and contents; $25,000 to vehicle and $100 to vegetation. Multiple area units responded to the fire including COLUMBIA AIR ATTACK 230, COPTER 404, HELITENDER 404, TANKER 82, 88 GROVELAND: BATTALION CHIEF 4416, MURPHYS: ENGINE 4452, COPPEROPOLIS: ENGINE 4462, GREEN SPRINGS: ENGINE 4468, STANDARD: ENGINE 4470, FORESTER 4407, PREVENTION 4421, ARNOLD: ENGINE 4474, ALTAVILLE: ENGINE 4483, TWAIN HARTE: ENGINE 4485, MONO VILLAGE: ENGINE 511, BASELINE: HAND CREW 3 SIERRA TRAINING CENTER: TRAINING 4425, COLUMBIA COLLEGE FD: BREATHING SUPPORT 795, ENGINE 792, COLUMBIA FPD: CHIEF 740, ENGINE 743, SONORA FPD: ENGINE 752, TUOLUMNE COUNTY: PREVENTION 702, SUPPORT 907, MONO VISTA: WATER TENDER 569 JAMESTOWN FD: WATER TENDER 768. PG&E, CHP WERE NOTIFIED. THERE WAS TRAFFIC CONTROL FOR A SHORT TIME.
