Pickled Eggs! The Perfect Holiday Snack ~Chef Chat Video with James Lehman
Murphys, CA...In this segment Ironstone's Executive Chef James Lehman has another great "Chef Chat"! This time is extolling the virtues of "Pickled Eggs" which are a great snack for any occasion and especially during those football and bowl games. Chef James will be teaching one of his famous Cooking Classes this Sunday December 6th. He will be sharing how to prepare "HOLIDAY SIDE DISHES". These very popular classes taught by Ironstone Vineyards' Executive Chef James Lehman, offer a chance to learn hands-on cooking skills and meals on a professional level. Learn exciting new sides that will wow your friends and family for the holidays. Cost is $75 per person, which includes your class, your materials, wine to drink and a souvenir. Pickled Eggs
2 16 oz. cans, slice beets
2 cups cider vinegar
1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
12 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
12 boiled eggs.
Heat liquid from canned beets, vinegar, cinnamon, cloves and brown sugar in pan till it comes to a simmer. Remove from heat and let sit till cool. Place eggs in a Mason jar and pour cooled liquid over. Place a few sliced beets on top of eggs to hold them down. Seal jar and refrigerator at least a week before eating.
