MARK TWAIN ST. JOSEPH’S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION INSTALLS NEW DIRECTORS AND VIEWS NEW DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT
The hospital dining room was the location of the recent installation of Officers and Directors of the Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation. Mr. Ken McInturf a director of the Mark Twain Hospital District, swore in the group, wished them well and offered the support of the District Board in their efforts to help gain financial support for the hospital in the community. mammography services that will soon be offered. Foundation recently completed a campaign to support these services at its 25th Anniversary Celebration and Dancing with the Sierra Stars Gala. In addition to creating a clearer image, digital mammography allows radiologists to electronically magnify an area, change contrast or alter the brightness. In addition, computer software further aids in detecting problem areas.
Larry Cornish, VP of Facilities at MTSJ Hospital spoke to the group about the State of the Hospital…Past, Present and Future.
Bob Hussmann of Angels Camp will continue as President; Anita Paque, as VP of Governance; Jim Dalton, San Andreas, as VP of Development; Ruth Huffman, San Andreas, Secretary; Linda Lewis, Angels Camp, as Treasurer; and Kathy Dodge as Immediate Past President.
Other directors sworn in were: Janet Cuslidge, Altaville, Membership and Nominations; Susie Miller, Murphys, Membership and Nominations; John Holleman, San Andreas, Scholarships; Michal Houston, Murphys, At-Large, and Phil Quinton, Angels Camp, At-Large. Ken McInturf also serves as an ex-officio representative from the Mark Twain Health Care District.
