Help Is On The Way...for Little League Field
Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras American Little League field was vandalized last weekend. Someone made a mess of things by spinning doughnuts that left ruts in not only the newly planted grass they also damaged some of the underground sprinkler systems as well. Volunteers had recently made upgrades to the field with countless hours installing a new sprinkler system and reseeding the field to get it ready for the upcoming season.
When we stopped by Carson Hill had already donated a load of sand and a crew was on hand with a loader to help spread it around. It was still unclear as to the extent of the damage to the sprinkler system. Hopefully it is not severe and the damage will have time to fill in before opening day.
