Planning, Branding, Dedications and more Planning in Angels Camp Last Night

Angels Camp, CA...It was a full evening of meetings last night at the Firehouse in Angels Camp. At times the temperature rose a bit but not to a combustion level that needed any attention from professionals standing by. The high points of the meeting were that all the agenda items passed and this includes finalizing the Branding and Identity for the City and appointing the Branding Leadership Team as the Branding Czars for the City. They will also be the committee to approve requests for usage of the new marks in advertising and other uses. The Carriage House at the Museum was dedicated to..

The day started off early with a planning commission workshop covering planning law relating to zoning and general plan land use issues. The Council them reconvened for their regular meeting after a couple of closed session items where no action was taken.

The streets in Greenhorn Creek were formally pulled into the City's pavement management system. This was the final step in what has been a drama filled process.

Also passed was approving a letter to the USDA "De-Obligating" financing of a $3,000,000 loan and a $1,000,000 grant approved by the USDA for the City to improve their wastewater system.

The city will be helping ACBA fund fishing tournaments at Melones Lake again this year.

The contentious portions of the meeting were the planning related items. These were changes the zoning maps and also changes in definitions regarding cellular antennas in the City.

As is usual with anything planning related people take it very seriously when the City makes changes to the potential uses of their property.
