Letter to the Editor~by Al Segalla
Dear Taxpayer, The Calaveras County Taxpayers Association has been working to encourage our Calaveras County General Plan and local government to better protect liberty and property rights for several years. It has been a frustrating and thankless job, but a necessary one, if there is to be a return to prosperity in our county. The county is going though a General Plan Update process and the public was given three alternatives to choose from - all hurtful to property rights....
We have created a property rights friendly Alternative D which has been finally recognized by the county and will be under consideration by our Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors in a joint meeting at 9:30 AM tomorrow at the Town Hall on Church Street in San Andreas.
The 17 page document is not attached, but is on our website below. Also on the website, is a four page background letter from Mike Dausend, document Author. We did attach our cover letter to the public officials to this email.
If you would like to help, please attend the meeting and express your support for Alternative D!
Also, pass this on to those that may care.
If we are successful, our work could be duplicated in every county in California in a heart beat!
