Angels Camp Planning Commission Gives Thumbs Up to the Golden Arches ~By John Hamilton
Angels Camp,CA...The Angels Camp Planning Commission approved the proposed McDonald's project in Frog Jump Plaza. The vote was unanimous at 5-0 at Friday night's meeting. According to Planning Commissioner Bob Middleton they hope to be open by November. The approval was conditional with a few minor kinks to be worked out according to Middleton...
The above photo is from January of this year when they started their site survey work. They hope to be open by November!
Some of the items on their list include: grease trap location, gas lines to existing tanks instead of new tanks, final locations of loading areas, etc.
The new McDonalds will be a huge boon for our area. It shows that our area is maturing as a retail market and typically McDonalds is seen as a bell weather of sorts. The fact that as a corporation they are very conservative with their restaurant locations serves as proof to retail companies that it may be time to make their move.
