The 10th Annual Father’s Day Blues & BBQ!
Volcano, CA....The St. George Hotel will be the setting on Sunday June 20, 2010 for this year’s “Father’s Day Blues & BBQ! This year’s show features Funky Monkey Productions recording artist Wingnut Adams and his Funky Lowdown Soul Brigade, Tess and Hip Trash, and The Church Street Sinners. A talented multi-instrumentalist performing internationally for many years, Wingnut was named “2008 Band Leader of the Year” by The West Coast Blues Hall of Fame! ....
With five critically acclaimed albums released to date, Wingnut continues to receive strong support throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Also appearing will be one of Northern California’s hottest blues voices…”Tess”, along with her band Hip Trash. She has that sultry voice, and connects with the crowd in a way that is seldom seen these days!
Rounding out the show will be a fine local act, The Church Street Sinners. Front porch style music with gritty vocals and toe tapping rhythms!
This year a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Interfaith Food bank. Show organizers will be accepting donations throughout the day, and will conduct a 50/50 raffle also.
Do not miss this great opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the area’s most talented Blues acts! Artists will have their latest releases for sale at the event.
This year promoters have added an “After Party” starting about 5pm. in The Wine Room next to The Hotel. Wingnut Adams, as well as some of the other performers will be getting together for an intimate “jam session”... after the show!
Tickets are still 12 bucks! You can purchase online at www.funkymonkeyproductions.com or at The Wine Room next to The St. George Hotel, and The Whiskey Flat Bar in Volcano, Ca.
The St. George Hotel will be firing up their grills to provide delicious BBQ foods and drink at an additional charge. Please no bottles, cans, or picnics. Low lawn chairs are OK.
