Farms of Tuolumne County – 3rd Annual Farm Tour
The Third Annual Farms of Tuolumne County Farm and Ranch Tour will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010, from 10am - 4pm. This is a fun, educational and unique experience for the whole family. Visit six picturesque farms - all in the Columbia, California, area of the Central Mother Lode. Talk with the experts - farmers, vintners & horticulturists - who will show you around their farms and answer your questions; sample some barbequed grass fed beef and goat, do some heirloom tomato, melon and wine tasting, visit the sheep, goats, and llamas; learn about making goat milk soap, growing beautiful roses & produce, about sustainable farming, gardening and even worm culture! And much more! Buy farm products on site. There will be workshops, children’s activities and plenty of lovely space to picnic or just meander.
