Calaveras Cowboy Roundup and Extreme Trail Competition.

Frogtown, CA...Building off of last year's successful Cowboy Celebration the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce is back with an even bigger and better event this year. They are teaming up with the Calaveras Saddle Club for a full day of Cowboy Fun. The Event will take place on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds. The Arena Events will begin at 12 noon, and the Vendor exhibits will open at 12 noon. Entry into the Fairgrounds is free.

The Arena events will feature trail competitions on an extreme obstacle course. You can test your skills on "one of a kind" obstacles. Cash prizes will be awarded.

There will be a Horseshoe Competition with a cash prize as well as prizes for the Cutest Cowboy, Best Boots and Best Wranglers. Kids can also compete in Stick Horse races, a Boot Race, Halloween Costume Contest, Egg & Spoon Race and more.

The Dinner Dance, featuring the Calaveras Outlaws, will begin at 6:00 pm. The cost for the dinner will be $25 for adults and $10 for kids 17 and under.
