"Ballroom Under The Stars" Sept, 11th in Copperopolis is CD Debut Concert for Local Crooner Josh Pfeiffer
Copperopolis, CA...Local singer/songwriter Josh Pfeiffer will be releasing his debut CD at "Ballroom Under The Stars" in Copperopolis Town Square on September 11th at 7:30. The concert is free with a nominal $5 parking fee to benefit 4-H. The CD titled "American Crooner ACT: 1", will feature many standards as well as five original compositions...
The entire project was recorded at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley California, by Adam Munoz (studio engineer whose credits include Chris Isaak, the Cranberries and Bonnie Raitt). The CD will be available at shows and online at iTunes, AmazonMP3, Napster, Thumbplay, emusic, Nokia, myspace music, imvu, and facebook.
Pfeiffer received a number of music scholarships coming out of high
school, while earning individual Outstanding Musicianship Awards at the
Santa Cruz Jazz Festival, the Redding Jazz Festival, and the Fullerton
Jazz Festival.
Pfeiffer has worked with renowned producer, Joe Chiccarelli (U2, Shins),
and a whos who of musicians including Gigi Gonaway (Mariah Carey), Mic
Gillette (Tower of Power), Stu Hamm (Joe Satriani), Marvin McFadden (Huey
Lewis), and Paul Hass (Prince, Lifehouse).
He is often compared to singer Michael Buble, yet retains his own
authenticity. Their paths briefly crossed last November when Pfeiffer was
brought in for a support performance at the Morongo Casino's Mystique,
while Buble was performing in the Morongo's Ballroom.
Pfeiffers deep smooth voice sets him apart. He remains true to the jazz
ethos with a willingness to experiment and improvise, - Christian
Gulliksen, Editor for the Robb Report.
"His talent and warmth delight the audience." - Susan Maxwell Skinner,
Arden Carmichael News, Sacramento
The CD will be supported by a revamped show featuring the new songs and
set to choreographed LED, and Laser lighting effects. The show has also
been designed to be flexible, and fit a wide variety of venues ranging
from small intimate rooms, to large, high energy, big production venues.
The September 11th concert will feature Tower Of Power trumpet player Mic
Gillette, Kent Gripenstraw, Dave Hawkes, Gordon Geidt, Spencer McSherry,
and Stephanie Jackson. Sound will be provided by Mark Fusselman from
"Sounds Good To Me" based out of Wallace.
