FoCuS Announces Its Sustainable Living Series Educational Programs through October 2010.

Murphys, CA....FoCuS is pleased to announce that it is offering a number of local educational opportunities through October. "Health, Stress and Your Lifestyle" At Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys on Saturday, October 2nd from: 9:00 - 4:00pm. Stress is a normal part of life. It is necessary, in small amounts, for good health and effective functioning. It only becomes a problem -- both to health and to productivity -- when there is too much of it (or too little). Come and learn what stress really is, how to easily recognize when it is becoming a problem, and a .....

variety of practical things you can do about it. We will cover both individual and "at work" coping strategies. A wide range of practical actions will be presented to help you avoid the avoidable, cope better with the unavoidable, and also to build up your internal capacity to remain healthy and productive during periods unavoidable of high pressure.

Being Ready for BIG Change

At The world Mercantile in Angels Camp

Thursday, October 7: 9:00 - 4:00

BIG changes are likely in the not too distant future. We will begin this seminar by reviewing some of the more likely things that could happen to us individually and also across society as a whole. Regardless of what actually transpires, any change that is high in "surprises" and that creates lots of uncertainties will trigger a predictable and totally normal cycle of emotional adjustment. If you understand this adjustment process, and have some knowledge and skills for how to speed up the adjustment, life may be much easier to take. A wide variety of practical ideas for successful coping with BIG change will be covered, to assist you in planning for a future likely to be unlike the recent past.

Influencing Skills

At Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys

Saturday, October 16: 9:00-4:00

To be successful at work, many people must gain cooperation across organizational boundaries. These people (you?) must influence the actions of others over whom they (you?) have no authority or control. And since these cross-boundary relationships need to be continual or frequent, only positive, win-win approaches to collaborating are likely to succeed over the long haul. The seminar is also recommended for couples and for informal planning teams where positive mutual influence is needed. You will take away several practical influence roadmaps that you can start using immediately.

The cost for each seminar at Ironstone is $60, and includes breaks, lunch, and a comprehensive course workbook.

The cost for the seminar at The World Mercantile is $40, and includes a comprehensive course workbook. Drinks and lunch may be purchased at The World Mercantile.

Sign up for two of these seminars and take 10% off. Sign up for all three and take 20% off.
