Hospital Teams Up With Football To Increase Breast Cancer Awareness
Valley Springs, CA...Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital has teamed up with the Calaveras Junior Redskins Football and Cheer Association to spread the word about Breast Cancer Awareness during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Calaveras Junior Redskins parents are currently delivering pink light bulbs to businesses in Valley Springs in preparation for the Pink in the Night Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on September 30th at The Terrace (Common Grounds, Fusion Grill) in Valley Springs...
On Saturday, October 2nd, the Calaveras Junior Redskins have a home game at Calaveras High School in San Andreas. Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital will have a booth for Breast Cancer Awareness, handing out goodies to the mothers. The football players will have pink ribbons on their helmets which they will wear for the entire month.
Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital is a not-for-profit, 25-bed Acute Care Hospital serving all of Calaveras County. Established in 1951 as Mark Twain District Hospital and centrally located in San Andreas, the hospital is partnered with Catholic Healthcare West to further strengthen this rural hospital to meet future community needs. The hospital is supported by 40 active physicians practicing in 24 specialties.
