Cave and Mine Adventures Hosts National Cave Convention

Vallecito, CA – The National Caves Association holds its annual convention this year in Calaveras County, thanks to Cave and Mine Adventures, which owns three local member caves: Moaning Cavern, California Cavern and Black Chasm Cavern. Over 100 representatives from show caves throughout the United States, Bermuda and Barbados will be here October 2nd through October 8th...

Locally, Ironstone Vineyards and Central Sierra Lodging will benefit from the hosting of the convention, and organizers from Cave and Mine Adventures have sought to include local produce, wines and recreational experiences for their guests, including a whitewater rafting trip with OARS, zip line rides, cave and gold mine tours at their locations, and Mercer Caverns, and wine tasting in historic downtown Murphys.

Cave and Mine Adventures President, Stephen Fairchild says: “This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our local area and impress all the folks from the East Coast show cave community.”

The conference is an opportunity for the show cave community to come together and share best practices, success stories, troubleshoot problems, and strengthen long held relationships from this successful annual convention that has run for decades.
