Hello Winter...White Stuff Dusted the Mountains This Morning ~By John Hamilton
Dorrington, CA...Right at the 5,000ft level is where there was decent snow coverage from this storm. The cold overnight temps will allow Bear Vally to start making snow in earnest so it looks like winter 2010-11 is here. Down the hill it will be a beautiful week with afternoon temps in the highs 60s with maybe a low 70 thrown in. The Bear Valley forecast is enclosed..
Today: A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 29 by 5pm. West southwest wind between 7 and 10 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 24. East northeast wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Veterans Day: Sunny, with a high near 46. East northeast wind between 8 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27. East wind around 7 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 46. East wind around 5 mph becoming west southwest.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 28.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 49.
