November 27-December 19, 2010 - Murphys Creek Theater presents Gifts of the Magi at the Black Bart Playhouse - A sweet musical blending of two of O. Henry's most beloved stories, "The Gifts of the Magi" and "The Cop and the Anthem". It's Christmas in New York City in this touching and beautiful story of a young couple unable to afford presents for each other on their first Christmas together. Each sacrifices a treasure to provide a gift for the other but, in so doing, they work at almost tragically funny cross-purposes. November 27, 2010 - Snowshoe Hike, Big Trees State Park - Every Saturday starting at 1:00 during the winter season. The hike will conclude at the warming hut, where volunteers will offer warm beverages. If no snow, there will be a regular hike through the North Grove. November 27, 2010 - Sounds of the Season, Ironstone Vineyards - Begin the Christmas season in style at Ironstone Vineyards with the wonderful "Sounds of the Seasons" concert. December 3, 2010 - Murphys Open House from 5-8 pm, Parade at 6:00 pm. Join Murphys shop keepers downtown as they host their annual evening of evening of wine, shopping and holiday goodies. Once again Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead the parade and light the town tree before arriving at the Native Sons where children can visit and have their photos taken with Santa. Stroll the streets from 5-8 pm and enjoy the music and small town atmosphere. Our lovely posters will be available for purchase at The Spice Tin and the Muir Legacy Tasting Room.
