First Annual SAC Ski & Ride Day Fundraiser at Bear Valley Mountain Resort - Friday, January 14, 2011
Bear Valley, CA....The Sierra Avalanche Center (SAC), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting safe backcountry travel, has partnered with the folks at Bear Valley Mountain Resort to help raise money in support of the only free, daily avalanche forecast for backcountry travelers and enthusiasts in the Ebbetts Pass region .....
As a kick-off to the 2011 Safety Week at Bear Valley skiers and riders are encouraged to purchase discount lift tickets online at www.SierraAvalancheCenter.org and take pride in knowing that one hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to support continued operation of their local avalanche center.
The first annual SAC Ski & Ride Day at Bear Valley Mountain Resort will feature Question & Answer sessions with the SAC’s professional avalanche forecasters. Skiers and snowboarders will also be able to check out the latest avalanche safety gear, inquire about avalanche conditions and other items related to backcountry travel and recreation.
Discounted lift tickets for $20 are limited and will sell out. Tickets must be purchase online in advance at www.SierraAvalancheCenter.org.
